A Distinctive and Bold Style of Corellian Spike Deck by Multiversal Exports
Sabacc is one of the oldest games in the galaxy — and Corellian Spike is its most storied variant. Developed on the smuggler's corridors and transit hubs of the Core Worlds, Spike stripped the classic sabacc format back to something faster and more brutal: a smaller deck, a spike die mechanic that could overturn any hand without warning, and a table culture built around nerve as much as skill. It was the variant that Han Solo played when he won the Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian — and the one that introduced millions of Star Wars fans to sabacc as a real, playable game.
The Solo film was the turning point. For the first time, sabacc moved from background detail to centrepiece, and the fan community responded immediately — building house rules, custom decks, and organised play around the game as depicted on screen. Disney's Galaxy's Edge parks formalised that momentum, teaching Corellian Spike to visitors and embedding it into the live Star Wars experience. The community that formed around it has been growing ever since.
A DECK FOR THE SPIKE TABLE
Multiversal Exports built the Sabacc 62 Deck: Sky, Fire, and Dunes Edition as the definitive physical companion for Corellian Spike — a deck designed with the same bold visual language and attention to detail that the fan community has come to expect, and built for European and UK players who have been underserved by overseas producers and their delivery costs.
The 62-card deck is a new twist on the Solo-era sabacc deck, enhanced with design choices that reward close attention.
Bold colour is the watchword for the Sky, Fire and Dune deck. The deck carton shows off the Multiversal Exports brand colours - crimson red with yellow trim. Each suit is given a bold thematic colour -Blue Squares, Red Triangles and Yellow Circles, to make up the suits of Sky, Fire and Dunes.
The Face Cards - The Queen and The Warrior - have been redesigned in a manner that feels authentic to the Star Wars setting, drawing on visual cues from the Zeffo tombs seen in Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. The Star and Shield now incorporate shapes from their suits for easy visual identification.
The colours are functional as well as aesthetic. In standard Corellian Spike decks, colour divides the cards into positive and negative values - green for positive, red for negative. Our deck does it a bit differently. Every card in the deck carries a border that marks its alignment: white borders for positive cards (Light), and coloured borders for negative cards (Dark). The two Sylop cards — the wild cards of sabacc — are printed in the traditional colour of green.
The coloured suits and alignment borders make the Sky, Fire, and Dunes Edition a unique and versatile sabacc deck that lends itself to new games and variants. Customers have reported they particularly enjoy using for solo play games like Mandalorian Solitaire and Jedi Temple.
Every card is printed on linen-textured 350gsm playing card stock, the same premium weight used across the Multiversal Exports range — a satisfying hand feel and enough rigidity to handle consistently from the first session to the hundredth.
